Satori Medicine provides expert consulting in integrative medicine research, supporting organisations to design, implement, and translate high-quality evidence in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. With deep experience spanning Chinese herbal medicine, medicinal cannabis, and clinical research governance, our approach is grounded in scientific rigour, regulatory insight, and real-world applicability.

Examples of Past Projects

  • Led a Victorian state government-funded feasibility study at Monash University to set up what was Australia’s first complementary medicine research centre in the early 2000’s
  • Tasly Pharmaceutical Company (Tianjin): conducted the first research outside China for Tasly Pharmaceutical Company into one of their flagship Chinese herbal medicines—marking an early contribution to the global evidence base for traditional medicine.
  • World first research into Chinese medicine diagnostic system: conducted the first study to investigate the reliability of the Chinese medicine diagnostic system as part of her PhD at Monash University.
  • Conducted the world’s first RCT investigating effects of Toyohari Meridian Therapy on cardiovascular outcome variables.
  • Supervised two PhD students and 1 Masters degree student to completion
  • Consultancy with UnityHealth: project-managed the initial development of a Chinese herb–drug/supplement interaction database (to be incorporated as part of IMgateway), leading a Hong Kong research team, and later advancing this work in Australia through the NICM Health Research Institute
  • Led Project Twenty21 Australia, an observational study into the effectiveness of medicinal cannabis for chronic pain, anxiety, MS and PTSD
  • Developed research protocols for observational studies into medicinal cannabis for primary dysmenorrhoea (study concluded) and for menopause symptoms, in collaboration with NICM Health Research Institute
